How can God be three persons and one person at the same time? |
|
We don't know how God can be three persons at the same time, but we know He is because the Bible tells us so. The idea of three in one (or the Trinity) is hard to understand. I like to look at it this way, I have a body, a soul and a spirit. I think God also has a body, soul and a spirit because I am made in His image, Genesis 1:26-27. It may be that the Trinity is the body, the soul and the spirit of God. Just remember that the Trinity does not mean that we have three gods. There is only one true God, that just happens to have three persons. The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit have always existed, no one made them. |
